The Play’s the Thing @ The Cottage and Schiller Park Stage

$75 – Sundays, Noon-3P –October 12, 19, 26, class performance on November 2 at 1PM

Students will perform a short play, as well as rehearse scripted scenes and monologues and learn a touch of Shakespeare.  Learn about staging, memorization, characterizations, and much more. All students will perform on stage, assist in stagecraft, costumes, props and sound, with a final performance including multiple short plays.

The class runs only four Sundays, culminating in a graduation performance on the Schiller Park Stage. No experience necessary. Learn about live theatre by performing in it through this one of a kind class!

Class Times: Noon-3P –October 12, 19, 26, with final class performance on November 2 at 1PM. Meet at “The Cottage” (1000 City Park Drive.)

All classes are taught by Andy Falter. andy Andy is a longtime actor, director, and teacher based in Columbus, Ohio.  He has taught professional, amateur, and K-12 actors for over fifteen years, including in Worthington City Schools.  Andy has been seen on stages and screens throughout the United States, from multiple performances at The White House to commercials and films, including the award winning short ‘Til Death and The Bloodline. He was featured in Actors’ Theatre of Columbus’ 2013 production of Twelfth Night, and 2012 productions of The Merchant of Venice and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged).  Over the years, he’s been the go-to acting coach for thousands of students of all ages and experience levels. Andy says, “If you’re not having fun, you’re not doing your job.”
