Fridays: A Most Rare Vision: 6 Plays by Shakespeare
Performed by ATC Repartee
Directed by Philip Hickman

A Most Rare Vision is a bold, non-stop, irreverent romp through a baker’s (half) dozen of William Shakespeare’s plays and sonnets. The play features the wit, romance, drama and comedy of the most celebrated writer of modern English. A Most Rare Vision is designed as a street piece; a guerilla theater presentation conceived and compiled by Philip Hickman and Justin Toomey.

This story follows Shakespeare’s Rude Mechanicals through a variety of Shakespeare’s settings, plucking scenes and story lines from various plays, presented classically, re-conceived, condensed, or with tongue firmly planted in cheek.
A Most Rare Vision features A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Hamlet, Julius Caesar, Macbeth, Much Ado About Nothing, Richard III, and The Taming of the Shrew.

Repartee is a street performance troupe that keeps Shakespeare short but sweet, performing classic theatre with a twist. The troupe also performs previews for the Actors’ summer season at Gallery Hop and arts festivals around Columbus, bringing live theater back into daily culture all year long.

Saturdays: All the Great Books (Abridged)
Written by Reed Martin & Austin Tichenor
Directed by Pam Hill and John S. Kuhn

Little Dickens. Short Longfellow. Reduced Proust… All the Great Books. Less is More. The Literary Canon explodes as the bad boys of abridgement unleash a brand-new comic outrage on an unsuspecting public. America’s best loved comedy troupe takes you on a ninety-eight minute roller-coaster ride through its compact compendium of the world’s great books in All The Great Books (Abridged).

Confused by Confucius? Thoroughly thrown by Thoreau? Wish Swift was swifter? Tennyson tinier? Then buckle up and hop aboard as the three cultural guerrillas of the Reduced Shakespeare Company zip through everything you didn’t get around to reading in school.
