James Semmelroth Darnell is the senior pastor of David’s United Church of Christ in Canal Winchester, home of the Getz Readers’ Theatre. He has a BA in theatre history from Illinois State University and master of divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary. Rev. Semmelroth Darnell previously served churches in Missouri and Virginia. He worked as a prospect researcher in the fundraising field for over a decade for Washington International School, The George Washington University, and the United Nations Foundation, all in Washington, DC. He most recently served as interim director of development research at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. He presently serves on the board of directors of the Evangelical & Reformed Historical Society and the United Church of Christ Historical Council.
