Season Partner:

EMMA
BY KATE HAMILL

Adapted from the novel by Jane Austen
Directed by Robyn Rae Stype
May 22 – June 15, 2025

Emma is a fresh, wildly funny, feminist take on Jane Austen’s beloved heroine. Emma is too clever for her own good; she decides to find the perfect romantic match for everyone around her, but can’t find a partner for herself. Hamill captures Austen’s wit, language, and flirtatious charm in a romantic comedy for all.

She has been involved in theatre throughout her life and is so grateful for the friends and experiences it's given her. She thanks her Emma castmates for making this process such a blast, and is grateful director Robyn Stype had a lapse of judgement and cast Colleen again. Last summer, Colleen portrayed Cecile the fairy in ATC's production of Beauty & the Beast, and Eleanor in Sense and Sensibility the summer before that. Here's to many more!

In addition to acting, Mallory is a writer, comedian, fiber artist, and aunt (both on stage and in real life). Huge thanks to Robyn and the entire cast and crew for making her feel so welcome during her first show in the park. Forward, onward, upward!

DAN BURLESON (George Knightley) is thrilled to appear in his third Actors' Theatre show; previous credits include King Who Stabs (Macbeth) and King Who Gets Stabbed (Queen Margaret). He is eternally grateful to Ashleigh and his boys for their love, the cast and crew for their fellowship, and the Blood Moon Theatre Company for their semi-professional advice.

Xan’s background is in music education and performance, but his passion for building and making things pushed him to make a career change and take up woodwind instrument repair in 2018. When he is not working on musical instruments, sets, or props, Xan can be found playing in pit orchestras and at the occasional Gallery Hop with his saxophone quartet, Drastic Measures.

LEO SANTUCCI (Violence Designer / Armorer) is a fight choreographer, armorer, and actor in the Columbus area, and is elated to be choreographing violence for a third season with ATC.
