She Kills Monsters is an adventure of the heart and mind. Agnes wants to know her sister better – and so she falls into the world of dice-rolling, dragons, and dungeons! Qui Nguyen’s play is a perfect combination of comedy, combat, and coming-of-age anthem. This Young Adventurers version is suitable for all ages.
Cast
REINA WATSON (Narrator / Farrah / Evil Tina) is is excited to be working with Actors' Theatre for the first time! She wants to thank her friends and family for always showing up to her shows to support her. She wants to shout-out her grandmother and family for traveling from New Jersey to see the show!
CINDY TRAN NGUYEN (Tilly Evans) is delighted to be making her Actors' Theatre debut! Favorite credits include Legally Blonde (Elle Woods), The Addams Family (Pugsley), and You Will Get Sick (#3). Shout out to her friends, family, and especially Isaiah for supporting her in all her endeavors!
MABEL PRINCE (Agnes Evans) is ecstatic to perform in her first production Actors' Theatre of Columbus! She received a BA in theatre arts from Furman University, where she portrayed Rosalind in Shaina Taub's As You Like It. She is classically trained in voice, and enjoys singing, watching movies, and playing guitar in her free time.
MARSHAWN ANTHONY (Chuck Biggs) is your Dungeon Master and is beyond blessed to be back in the company of talented peers to put on an amazing show! Favorite credits include The Color Purple (SNS), Beautiful (JCC), and Chicken & Biscuits (Actors’ Theatre).

PEYTON DRAKE (Miles) is excited to work with Actors' Theatre of Columbus for the first time! Peyton was most recently on stage as Phillip Lombard in And Then There Were None at Little Theatre Off Broadway. LEE GILBERT (Vera / Evil Gabby / Eye) is an actor currently based in Columbus, OH. She joined the ATC season this year in A Midsummer Night's Dream as Flute, and is excited to keep the summer rolling! Before this, she spent four years in Athens, OH studying acting and communications, as well as performing in John Proctor Is the Villain (Shelby), Shining Girls (Cathrine), and Imaginary Audiences (Marvel Cunningham), writing and producing two of her own works, Velveteen and Lavender Grace, and creative producing for all five of the Golden Isle shows.
EMERSON SANTUOMO (Lilith Morningstar) is so delighted to continue her return to the stage with a play that has been one her favorites since the first time she saw it at the age of 15. Being a giant nerd in her free time, she is over the moon to be able to finally live out her dream of fighting monsters in a world of fantasy with a badass battle axe. Emerson would like to give a special thanks to the Actors' Theatre team for welcoming her into her first show with the company with open arms and friendly smiles.
MASON DAVIS (Kaliope Darkwalker)
DANIEL TEWOLDE (Orcus / Ronnie) is an aspiring young actor. He will be attending Bowling Green State University in the fall to major in finance. This is his first production with ATC.
PAXTON LONGORIA (Mage Steve) is thrilled to make his Actors' Theatre debut in She Kills Monsters with such a talented cast, crew, and creative team! Recent credits include A Chorus Line (Short North Stage), Big Fish (The Contemporary), and Marvin's Room (Curtain Players). He is a rising freshman at Olentangy Liberty High School and enjoys playing the piano, traveling, trying new foods, and playing Villainous in his free time. Enjoy the show! @paxtonlongoria

DR. AVIVA NEFF (Director) is thrilled to embark on her first journey with Actors' Theatre! Aviva is a proud Girl Nerd who enjoys teaching college theatre at Denison University and attending Ren Faires with her husband. SHA-LEMAR DAVIS (Assistant Director) is excited to be back in Schiller Park in a new role as assistant director. You may recognize this Dayton native from last year's Twelfth Night and other productions around town. Sha-Lemar hopes you enjoy this wild ride through grief, family connections, and dragons!
PHILIP J. HICKMAN (Co-Artistic Director) is the Co-Artistic Director of Actors' Theatre. He has been part of ATC since 2010, and directed Beauty & the Beast this past summer in Schiller Park. Love and gratitude to Mikelle.
ROWAN WINTERWOOD (Co-Artistic Director / Lighting Designer) is returning for her tenth season in Schiller Park. She has worked with ATC as a director (Love’s Labour’s Lost, Or), lighting designer, stage manager, artist educator, and sound board operator. Rowan is the lighting supervisor at the Wexner Center for the Arts, a company member of Available Light Theatre, a member of IATSE Local 12, and a freelance lighting designer. Selected lighting design credits: ATC (Love’s Labour’s Lost, Robin Hood, Hamlet, Eurydice), AVLT (Fairview, Ghost Quartet, What the Constitution Means to Me, Cry it Out, Everybody, Witch), and CCT (The Sleepwalker of Holstenwall).
NORAH GOLDMAN (Managing Director)
JAYLENE JENNINGS (Production Manager / Costume Designer / Costume Manager) is an Ohio State University graduate and a company member of Available Light Theatre. In addition to being part of AVLT's creative team, she also oversees the costume shop at Ohio Wesleyan University and is production manager of Actors' Theatre. She has spent time working on Unanswered We Ride at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and regional tours including One Night With Janis Joplin and A Map of Myself: My Odyssey to America. Some of her favorite credits include Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, Ghost Quartet, bobrauscenbergamerica
FINCH IVEN (Stage Manager) is excited to work with ATC for a second year. This show is particularly special to them because it was the first show they worked on in high school and now they get to bring it full circle as it becomes their first show post high school! They would like to thank their friends for all their support.
ASHLEY ZARZABAL (Assistant Stage Manager) has stage managed and directed shows all around Columbus. Recent credits include And Then There Were None (LTOB), Head Over Heels (Imagine Productions), and Nine Girls (Aethereal Jest Arts Council).
KATIE GOLONKA (Scenic Designer) is a Columbus designer and muralist who has worked as a scenic painter for CATCO, Opera Columbus, and other local companies. Most recently she designed the set for Available Light Theatre’s 2023 production of Ghost Quartet and the sets for ATC’s 2024 season. Katie has been operating her mural business, Cherry Alley Paint, since 2014 and is a proud member of IATSE Local 12.
STEVE PUHL JR. (Master Carpenter) is excited to be back in the theater world doing all the fun things!
CATHERINE RINELLA (Sound Designer) is an audio llama that has wandered back to the ATC corral. What is an Audio Llama? We don’t know, and now it won’t leave. This one is ATC’s resident sound designer - making noise, creating mild havoc, and stealing our coffee supplies. Has also been spotted as a board-op at WCBE 90.5 FM, and audio masterer for Rusty Quill podcasts. Warning: May Attract Spiders.
KAY ROBERTS (Sound Engineer) have previously worked with ATC on Queen Margaret (run crew), Chicken & Biscuits (run crew), and An Iliad (ASM). This is Kay's first show as sound engineer.
NIKHIL MAKHIJA (Board Technician) is working the sound board for Actors’ Theatre of Columbus his second time. He has fun helping make the show be heard. He’s excited for this production of She Kills Monsters.
ALEXANDER "XAN" NELSON (Props Designer) is a Philadelphia native who has been an active part of the performing arts scene in Columbus for the past ten years. This is his third year with Actors' Theatre of Columbus as Props Designer and fourth as part of the set build team making sure the setting is just right to let the actors shine. Xan’s background is in music education and performance, but his passion for building and making things pushed him to make a career change and take up woodwind instrument repair in 2018. When he is not working on musical instruments, sets, or props, Xan can be found playing in pit orchestras and at the occasional Gallery Hop with his saxophone quartet, Drastic Measures.
NATHAN HAVLOVITZ (Props Manager / Run Crew) is a CCAD alum and Columbus native. He specializes in production design for film and video, and especially enjoys the horror genre. Tate also manages a local balloon design studio.
LEO SANTUCCI (Violence Designer) is a fight choreographer, armorer, and actor in the Columbus area, and is elated to be choreographing violence for a third season with ATC. He has been involved in a number of sword fights, both on and off stage, as he is also a semi-competitive fencer in addition to being an actor combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors. He thanks you for supporting the arts, and helping to keep theatre accessible!
BETH JOSEPHSEN (Movement Coach / Intimacy Director) has been with ATC for 17 years in various roles as an actor, director, and staff member. Favorite shows over the years include playing Marian in Robin Hood, Mrs. Kate Sullen in The Beaux’ Stratagem, Dr. Watson in The Hound of the Baskervilles, the villainous Mrs. Cheveley in An Ideal Husband, Mrs. Dashwood/Anne Steele in Sense and Sensibility, directing Little Women and the Jebby Award winning production of Eurydice. When not in the park, she takes Shakespeare programming to local schools. Beth would like to thank her husband for his love and support.
SCOTT VEZDOS (Director of Marketing & Development) has served as the Director of Marketing & Development for Actors’ Theatre for close to 10 years. He is also the founder and producer of the HER2-Revue, a burlesque showcase based in Columbus, OH. He has more than 25 years of experience in the nonprofit arts sector, including 10 years as a radio personality for WCBE Public Radio. Scott also currently serves as a member of the marketing team of CAPA (Columbus Association for the Performing Arts) and as an arts consultant and strategist for several nonprofit arts organizations in central Ohio.
House Managers
BEATRICE FELDBUSH (Front of House Manager) is excited to return for her fifth season at ATC! Her previous credits with the company include Stage Manager (Sense and Sensibility and Queen Margaret), Assistant Stage Manager (The Secret Garden), and usher. Beatrice is a proud graduate of Ohio University with a Masters degree in arts administration with an emphasis on theatre and production management.
